Welcome to new patients

Lyne regularly welcomes new patients – children, teenagers and adults – and pays particular attention to the quality of this initial consultation. This page brings together everything you need to know before your first appointment at Lyne.

· Your first consultation ·

What to expect from your first consultation?

Your first consultation with Lyne is a comprehensive assessment, dedicated to evaluating your overall orthodontic situation from clinical, aesthetic and functional perspectives.

There is no obligation during the first consultation. You’ll leave with your full assessment and your quote. You’ll have plenty of time to think it over, ask any further questions and make your decision at your own pace.

1

10 min

The initial consultation

We begin with a discussion to understand your expectations, your background and the reasons for your consultation. This discussion enables Dr Roig to gain a comprehensive overview of your situation.

2

15 min

The clinical examination

Dr Roig then carries out a comprehensive examination of your teeth, your bite and the balance of your face. If necessary, a 3D intraoral scan (iTero) or X-rays are taken on site.

3

10 min

The diagnosis

Dr Roig explains his diagnosis and the possible solutions to you. Each option is presented clearly so that you can understand the benefits and the course of treatment.

4

10 min

The treatment plan

You’ll leave with a personalised treatment plan and a detailed quote. There’s no obligation: you’ll have plenty of time to think it over at your leisure.

· Before your visit ·

Preparing for your first visit

To ensure your consultation goes as smoothly as possible, please bring the following documents with you.

Documents to bring

  • Your identity card (or your child’s, if the consultation is for them)
  • Any recent X-rays you may have (panoramic, long-cone scan). You can also email these to us in advance.
  • A list of any medicines you are currently taking, if applicable
  • The results of any tests already carried out in connection with your dental records

What you can prepare

  • Your questions: orthodontic treatment often raises questions, and it’s easy to forget some of them in the moment.
  • Identify what is bothering you, both in terms of appearance and function: this is a valuable starting point for the consultation.
  • Please arrive a few minutes early so we can welcome you at your leisure and complete your information form.
  • Please let us know who your regular dentist is, if you have one: this helps us to ensure your care is well co-ordinated.
  • Think ahead about your availability and future plans: treatment involves regular appointments over several months.

· Who is it for? ·

Lyne welcomes patients of all ages

Children from the age of 6, teenagers, adults and older adults. Orthodontics knows no age limits. Every patient has their own specific needs, and Dr Roig tailors her approach to each individual.

An initial assessment to monitor growth

An initial orthodontic assessment is recommended as soon as the permanent teeth start to come through. This allows us to monitor the development of the jaw and teeth, and to intervene at the right time only if necessary.

  • Early assessment from 6–7 years old, with no obligation
  • Interceptive orthodontics if necessary
  • Gentle approach, age-appropriate explanation

Consultation duration: 45 mins

An ideal time

During adolescence, growth often provides favourable conditions for correcting the alignment of teeth and jaws. Dr Roig will help you choose the solution best suited to your situation.

  • Metal or ceramic braces for all cases
  • Invisalign Teen
  • Reimbursement (duplicates the information on the right?)
  • Regular and reassuring follow-up throughout the course of treatment

Consultation duration: 45 mins

There’s no age limit.

More and more adults are undergoing orthodontic treatment, whether to improve the appearance of their smile, restore proper chewing function or correct a relapse. The treatment is fully tailored to your lifestyle.

Consultation duration: 45 mins

Treatment duration: varies depending on the case, generally between 6 and 24 months.

Coordination with other specialists if necessary
